Reliable Automatic Lighting
I use this to automate my outdoor lights, and it works exactly as expected—on at dusk, off at dawn. I like that it has a delay feature so it doesn’t react to things like car headlights. Once installed, it just runs in the background without me having to think about it. Simple and effective.

Easy to Install and Very Flexible
I’ve always preferred dusk-to-dawn lighting, and these sensors make it easy. If you have basic wiring knowledge, installation is pretty straightforward. I really like how adjustable they are—you can aim them in almost any direction. Mine turn on a bit before it gets fully dark, which is perfect for when I’m still outside working.

“I was a little skeptical at first since I usually buy my replacement photocells from a big box store. Unfortunately, none of the local stores had one in stock, so I decided to give the JL-202 a try — and I’m glad I did. Installation was straightforward. Simplest way to add a reliable light sensor
Great little sensors, working well I used one of these for some strip LEDs I ran along a walkway, allowing the lights to come on with other lights, but only after dark. The sensor has performed exactly as expected and has been working perfectly for the last couple months. Easy to install in an electrical box knock-out hole, simple wiring. It does seem to be pretty sensitive, but in my case I had it in a shady spot and directed it into the shady corner of that shady spot and it works perfect. Even without being adjustable, these sensors can still be "adjusted" with a little ingenuity! Good basic light sensors that just work

Easy install
They are a simple install for basic electrical knowledge people. The biggest problem is finding a place to mount it near the light. It is large so it doesn’t hide well. It is well built, almost feels like a commercial grade product. After mounting it and connecting a few wires it’s just a matter of aiming to get it to turn on and off without false triggering from car lights.

Easy to install. Works great. Price is right.
I needed to add a photo cell to auto turn off and on the led steering lights we ran in our backyard and this worked perfectly. I've purchased the small non-adjustable replacement photoelectric switches and they work okay, but these adjustable photoelectric switches are much better, as you can adjust the direction they point in order to fine-tune the way the light strikes them, if your switchbox is located in an area where the light may not penetrate properly. These are super easy to install and you can do it yourself in about 5 minutes. Just make sure to turn off the power before working on it. They work perfectly, and having a few extra around the house is a good idea. I recommend these photoelectric switches.

Great Photo Cell Sensors
Functionality: Works great for switching voltage in your AC Circuit upon sunlight detection. Takes about 2 minutes for the relay to kick in once no light is detected in the photo cell sensor. Tha ability to adjust the angle of the sensor is a definite plus and it comes with a rubber gasket and locknut to seal the unit electrical box. Build quality: The build quality is mostly plastic which is typical of these sensors in this price range. My previous sensor lasted about 4 years and was constructed of plastic as well. Ease of installation: Easy to install when it comes to screwing it in and long enough wires that are already pre stripped and ready for connection.

Photo Sensor --2 piece
These are great for saving money by hooking up your outside lights to them. I have these on all my lights and got these for spares. It means my outside lights come on at dusk, and turn off in the morning and I don't have to ever think about it. I love it. These are built strong, and you can angle them any place you want. They just work great for what I need. I highly recommend.

Reliable and Durable. Works Like a Charm!
These automatic lighting sensors work like a charm. They are easy to install by simply following the included instructions, and once they are in, they just work. No fuss, no adjustments needed. I have them installed outdoors at a beach home, where they are exposed to high salinity, humidity, and rain. Even in those tough conditions, they have performed perfectly for over six months with no issues at all. The lights come on right at dusk and turn off at dawn, just as described. Nice aimable photocell
I had some plastic type small eye versions I was using for exterior lighting on my house. They're were problems with other lights interfering with and problems some days lights staying on all day. These are much better built and no issues with other lighting in the area. So far no problems with staying on all day either. These also have the ability to aim where they will work better. I was having shadow and sunlight issues before, but can aim these away from possible problem areas

Marine/Outdoor Grade Photocell
The photocell that controls my dock's fishing light broke a week back, and I ordered this 2-pack from Amazon (1 for installation, 1 spare). This photocell is an exact replacement for the one I bought from the hardware store a few years ago. The wiring of this photocell is tin-coated copper, which will provide superior corrosion protection around my saltwater environment. Wiring it up was simple, and after I had it wired up, I put the power to it to see if my light illuminated. When I switched the photocell on, my light illuminated briefly until the capacitors inside the photocell charged, and once charged the light turned off as it was supposed to. Overall I'm very pleased with this photocell, believe it is a fair value, and will order again as needed.

Wanted a way to automate this outdoor lamp. I couldn’t use a switch timer because the switch is in a 4 position gang box so I didn’t want to get into that. This is the solution that I chose to ensure that the lamp is on at night when ever I enter or leave the property at night. Working great for me. Easy to wire up. No setting or adjustment. Just wire it in and secure it into the large drilled hole that you will have to make. If I recall it was like 9/16, but can’t absolutely recall. No matter what time I come back to the house at night, my light is on. Not effected by daylight savings, no adjustment required. Light is on when ever it is dark. That’s it. Now I’m looking for more applications for the other 5 pieces.

Works perfectly!
If you are responsible for the maintenance of any outdoor lighting system, these are indispensable. If you're trying to test the lights during the day, the photocell will cause the light to shut off very quickly. With High Pressure Sodium bulbs, they cycle on and off when they are starting to fail. You won't be able to see that before the photocell shuts off the light. In my application, the photocells on the lights were redundant, since the lighting circuits were activated by a separate photocell, so I left these on the lights.

Easy on and off
Over the last two years I have purchased and installed more then than 500 Longjoin lighting products and they have not yet let me down. Everything about this purchase was greater than expected. The quality of the lights are incredible, the shipping was quick and the lights were packaged to insure that damage was virtually impossible. We mounted these lights about two feet above ground level and aimed them up to the canopy of our Trees. The results were breath taking.

Works perfectly, easy to install
I had an old photo cell fail, and used one of these for the replacement. It fit perfectly in the hole, was easy to wire and install in the hole of the plate, and the hinge allow me to adjust the direction. The ability to move the position of the sensor allows for a bit of adjustment of available light. This photo cell is installed under a soffit and faces the sun for most of the day. So aiming this toward the North and moving it up to the soffit provides an early start time for my outdoor lighting. I like to have the ability to make small adjustments to this photocell, and there is a tension screw that you can easily loosen and tighten to move the direction. And having a two-pack provides a backup for me when any others fail. And the two-pack makes this purchase a good value. This photo cell has been installed for a few weeks, and it has proven to function properly and seems to be very reliable.
