Wie qualifiziert man einen NEMA-Fotosteuerungs-Basislieferanten für intelligente Straßenbeleuchtungssteuerungen?
Quick answer. Qualifying a NEMA photocontrol base supplier means answering seven questions with documents rather than assurances: does the interface match mechanically; do the contact materials and electrical evidence support the load; is the certification scope current and applicable; can the supplier exchange engineering data and control revisions; are manufacturing quality controls in place; does […]
Wie verbessert eine Gold-über-Nickel-Beschichtung die Zuverlässigkeit des Basiskontakts der Fotosteuerung?
Quick answer. Gold-over-nickel plating separates three jobs that a single metal cannot do at once. The substrate — phosphor bronze or a brass — provides spring force and carries current. A nickel underplate acts as a diffusion barrier and a hard base, preventing the substrate from migrating into the surface and giving the soft gold […]
UL-anerkannt vs. Zuverlässigkeitsgeprüft: Worauf sollten Käufer bei einer NEMA-Fotosteuerungsbasis achten?
Quick answer. No. UL Recognition confirms that a component has been evaluated to applicable requirements under specified conditions of acceptability, so that it can be built into a larger product that will itself be certified. It is not a statement that the component has met every mechanical, electrical and environmental criterion your programme requires. A […]
What Tests Should a NEMA Photocontrol Base Pass? A Guide to Durability, Contact Resistance, Temperature Rise and Salt Spray
Quick answer. A NEMA photocontrol base is normally evaluated against four tests: mating and unmating durability, contact resistance, temperature rise under rated current, and salt spray or corrosion exposure. Each answers a different question, and none of them covers the others. The pass/fail judgement depends less on which tests were run than on whether the […]
Why Do Contact Resistance and Plating Quality Matter in NEMA Photocontrol Bases?
Quick answer. Contact resistance in a NEMA photocontrol base is set by three things: the real metal-to-metal contact area, which is far smaller than the surfaces appear; the condition of the contact finish at that interface; and the spring force pressing the two halves together. When any one of them degrades, resistance rises, and because […]
