JL-260C Photocontrol Receptacle Installation Reference | Chiang Rai

Installation reference: Chiang Rai, Thailand

The supplied reference photographs show a photocontrol and mating receptacle assembly mounted on a metal pole beside a building in Chiang Rai, Thailand. The reference was supplied under the JL-260C name. JL-260C is a photocontrol receptacle; the exact model of the controller fitted above it has not been independently identified.

The supplied project information confirms a commissioning year of 2026 and installation in two batches of 2,000 pcs and 300 pcs (2,300 pcs in total). The image reference folder is dated 17 July 2026; this file date does not establish the commissioning day. Measured energy savings and operating results have not been provided.

Illustrative energy calculation: LED dimming

The following calculation is a separate illustrative scenario based on assumptions presented in the 2019 UMELINK solution brochure, pages 14–15. It is not a measured result from the photographed installation.

Assumptions: 10,000 luminaires, 11 operating hours per day, 365 days per year and an illustrative electricity price of RMB 0.86/kWh. The dimmed case assumes a 70 W average input over those operating hours.

Annual result100 W LED baselineAssumed 70 W average with dimming
Electricity consumption4,015,000 kWh2,810,500 kWh
Electricity costRMB 3,452,900RMB 2,417,030

The calculated annual reduction is 1,204,500 kWh (30%) and RMB 1,035,870. Annual consumption = quantity × average input watts ÷ 1,000 × operating hours. Annual electricity cost = annual consumption × electricity price.

These figures are recalculated from the stated assumptions rather than copied from the brochure’s inconsistent totals. The brochure’s combined 75% claim includes a lamp-replacement comparison and must not be attributed to a receptacle or controller alone.

Applying the example to a project

Actual savings depend on the load, driver dimming response, operating schedule, required illumination, metering boundary and control-system consumption. Confirm electrical compatibility, wiring, orientation and sealing against the applicable installation instructions. Compare measured consumption under equivalent lighting-service conditions before claiming project savings. A receptacle alone does not provide the dimming strategy.
