JL-712B2 is based on ZHAGA BOOK18 interface standard development of intelligent lock type light controller, using light sensing + microwave mobile combination sensor, can output 0~10V dimming signal, at the same time equipped with Bluetooth mesh communication network, can be controlled and configured through APP. The lamp controller is suitable for roads, lawns, courtyards, parks, parking lots, industrial mines and other lighting scenes. It is particularly suited to UFO high-bay luminaires fitted with a Zhaga socket.

Installation notes from the datasheet

• If the negative pole of the driver’s auxiliary power supply is separate from the negative pole of the dimming interface, the two must be shorted together and connected to pin 2 (GND/DIM−) of the controller.
• If the controller is mounted very close to the light-emitting surface of a high-power luminaire, the reflected light can exceed the compensation limit and the controller may switch the lamp off by itself.
• A Zhaga controller cannot cut off the driver’s AC supply. Specify a driver whose minimum output current approaches 0 mA, taken from the output-current curve in the driver datasheet; otherwise the lamp may not switch off completely.
• The controller only outputs the dimming signal to the driver. It does not switch or carry the driver and light-source load.
• Do not cover the photosensitive window with your fingers. Light passing through a finger can prevent the lamp from switching on.

Recommended Zhaga sockets

The datasheet lists six sockets for this controller: JL-700 (general), JL-700W (without cable), JL-700S (short thread), JL-700T (pin), JL-770 (US / Z10) and JL-710 (built-in 24 VDC power supply). Socket choice follows the luminaire housing thread and whether a local 24 VDC source exists.

Does Bluetooth Mesh mean Casambi compatibility?

No. This model is described as Bluetooth Mesh with app control. Confirm the exact app, supported firmware, provisioning method and gateway requirements; do not infer Casambi compatibility from Bluetooth or Zhaga mounting alone.

Can I connect the controller to a mains supply?

The description specifies a 12-24VDC supply and 0-10V dimming. Confirm the low-voltage power source, socket wiring and compatible LED driver using the JL-712B2 instructions; do not apply mains voltage to a low-voltage controller.

What should be verified before a project deployment?

Confirm light and microwave sensing settings, mounting conditions, detection coverage, mesh commissioning and IP66 assembly documentation. Voice-platform integration must be confirmed for the actual app, gateway and supported service.
